Casual Hirers, or Day Ticket holders, of dinghies, kayaks, canoes and windsurf kit must possess a Lake Pass for 2010, issued by the Centre, verifying your competence in your chosen craft.
Lake Pass
A Lake Pass may be issued to sailors or paddlers who can validate their competence with a copy of their qualifications (minimum - RYA Level 1 (Start Sailing) or BCU 1 Star Canoeing/Kayaking). Alternatively, you may be asked to perform a Lake Pass Test (booked in advance), to demonstrate your personal skills and ability to control your craft, prior to the issue of a Lake Pass.

The Centre is open for Casual Hire at the times indicated below. There is no need to make a booking but a queueing system for popular craft operates at peak times.
